Illegal immigration isn’t new, Native Americans called it white people.

How right you are! I’m sure my ancestors back in the 1730’s didn’t get an okay from the INS to enter the country. Wonder if I’ll wind up being deported?

Oh wow, that was creative insight for sure.
I had previously asked the question, “if you do not believe the government is out to help you, ask any Native American.”
I loved yours however, more appropriate and right on the money.
(BTW Your avatar still captivates me after all this time)

You might be right IF Native Americans had laws against immigration, which I’m pretty sure they didn’t. I base this idea on that fact that almost all tribes universally accepted white people into their tribes, though a great deal of those had been kidnapped. I am personally in favor of open immigration, but being a half breed (and able, I think, to see this from both sides) I think stating that ‘white people’ were illegal immigrants is both an oversimplification and a distortion of, or failure to understand, history.
Be that as it may, I am nominating your blog for the One Lovely Blog Award. It will be in my post tomorrow because for the most part, I do enjoy your blog.

Thought provoking to say the least, but I suppose the history of the world is littered with illegals who became dominant.

Your reference is to a number of groups of people whose common goal was conquest. Every nation on the globe has been established by way of conquest. Your analogy does not hold, unless the USA’s current group of illegal immigrants intend to conquer and thus establish a new nation or expand their current homeland.
