I posted another short story. If your interested in my second attempt, check out the tab Short Stories You Might Not Want to Read. Apparently my best writing might be right in the middle of the night.

It does happen to the best of us… I’m a bit of a night owl myself too. 🙂

My sleeping habits seem a little weird. Glad someone else shares them.

Thanks for the follow, Deidra! I can’t resist the reverse psychology of your short story page.

I’m so good I can use reverse psychology on myself and it’s working.

I think you could really write best at midnight… should be because it is silent.

Perhaps it’s because it’s the Witching Hour and you brain feels free to get into mischief!

Oh oh, mine too… Or creativity in general tends to be best at night… It’s a little annoying when you suddenly feel like drawing for an hour when you hadn’t felt like using that hour of free time you had specifically to use for it -_-. Still I’ve noticed that it isn’t just at night, but also generally when it’s dark outside :). Now that’s it’s winter, and the sun is setting at around 15 this is quite a good thing actually :D.

Nothing’s wrong with writing in the middle of the night, unless like me, you wake up and realize your arm is covered in (nearly illegible) pen marks.

Thanks for the like. I agree that many great insights come during the middle of the night. Then it makes you struggle with being lazy and being productive.

Ditto. For me, it’s the stillness, silence, focus…with absolute no interruption in the nights. My mind can run freely, wildly…Your writing is remarkable, vivid, captivating. Keep up the great work!

I have a theory about middle of the night or wee hours of writing (something that afflicts me too): it is a time when there are few distractions and very few other energies (car noises, people, or other disturbances) competing with your creative processes.
