Dear Kitten,
My paintbrushes are not kitty chew toys. Please stop taking them from the jar on my desk.
Dear Kitten,
Please stop lying on my freshly painted work. I know “up” is your favorite place. But I put them “up” high so you wouldn’t get to them.
Dear Kitten,
Though the paints are nontoxic, I don’t think you should drink the rinse water. Does it really taste that great?
Dear Kitten,
When I went to answer the phone that was not permission for you to walk on my stamp pad and then across my desk.
Dear Kitten,
When I woke up this morning and you were sleeping with your head on the pillow next to mine, I forgot all the annoying things you did yesterday.
Brought a tear to my eye. Thanks for this. I think I’ll write a letter to my kitty, too.

Thank you Anita. Kitten dear has been at it again. Who needs sleep when you have a kitten?

Dear kitten:
Good idea sleeping on the pillow next to your human. You warmed her heart–and she forgot all the ‘mistakes’ you made while keeping her engage.
Great job. I hear she’s feeling better. ❤ ❤ ❤

Dear Human,
No need to thank me. I distracted her all night last night biting her toes.
Sincerely Kitten Dear

Maybe you and Dear Kitten are on to a winner. Bottle all your paint rinse water… sell to pet shops as kitten elixir!! 😉

Just how do they do that… Purring away and looking at you with their big eyes and you just cannot be angry with them.
Thanks for sharing. This made me smile.

Dear kitten’s mama,
I’m glad there are other kitty owners out there feeling what I’m feeling. Mine is gorgeous, but clingy. Sit down and she’s on your lap. Except for when I want her to be… This ‘open letter’ (?) made me giggle!

My two darlings (term used advisedly) want my donut when I leave it on the table, drink from my glass of water, leave political statements on the floors, and run through the house at 4:00 AM chasing each other, and sounding like a fight among at least seven… and they also snuggle up so pretty on my lap, bunt my legs while I sit on the porcelain throne, and act so relieved when I come home from an errand outside the house.
Oh, well…

What a great post! My dear kittens are brothers, and are young men about the house….leaving their hair on the bathroom floor, and alongside the porcelain throne. They run the cat-Olympics through the house at night, and would like to curl up in bed with me too. My door is tightly closed to their antics so I can get my sleep, yet one tries with great effort to open the door every morning. He tells me he is starving, but it is just not true! The silliest one thinks he should nip my toes and lick my feet while I manage my morning rituals of brushing teeth etc. It is a habit I wish he would break!

So sweet, and such a cute kitten, I wish I had a pet but my dad says he’s allergic to cats and I can get a dog: when I move out, how depressing

I had a 4 cats when I was younger. We found them abandoned. I named my Bembel (pronounced Bem-Bell)…I have no idea how I came up with that name haha. We had to give them to the shelter, but we had them for a while with us. They were so cute!!!!! );
