If I can make it here, I can make it anywhere.
My first day in New York City.
I took to the streets, walking to the office, I immediately noticed New Yorkers don’t adhere to the three foot rule. If you get to within three feet of a person, you smile and greet them. I scared me some New Yorkers.
The Empire State Building was lit in green and blue tonight.
It’s up to you New York, New York.

I haven’t seen too much of the city I’m almost in Hell’s Kitchen and the garment district. Pretty cool looks like the movies every morning. Thanks.

My daughter has accepted a wonderful job opportunity that requires her to move to New York next month. New York to me is like Las Vegas. A 3-day visit is enough and I am ready to fly out. I do, however, have several items on my bucket list that are in New York. The Thanksgiving Day Parade and The Jimmy Fallon Tonight Show. We’ll see about getting those checked off with her in town! Have fun and BE SAFE (the Mom in me)!

Thank you, I didn’t realize there were so many very simple but interesting things. Like the curbs have metal shielding, weird. Your daughter will have a great time.

Yeah, I had some uncomfortable experiences there too. Mainly a bunch of weirdos that all converged outside of a Chinese takeout place. Most odd!

That sounds like the start of a great story!

Aww and here I thought it was my southern accent! Thanks.

Okay, maybe that wasn’t a “fact”… I’ll have to recheck my data (i.e., listen to some Dolly Parton and Kristin Chenoweth albums)

The Empire State Building looks awesome. I saw it once but it was daytime.

Thanks. I love you. It wasn’t lit with colors last night. It’s been pretty awesome so far.

GREAT. Enjoy. Will you be there long? Contract?
I was terrified walking on the sidewalks. Nobody stopped for lights of people crossing the street. As well, I was but seventeen. 🙂

Lived in the New York area for four years. (safe in Connecticut) Loved when business took me to the city. 3 foot rule only works when there are not at least ten people within three feet.

Good advice, I didn’t have that problem back home. Thanks, John.

Yeah, you don’t want to do that. You might be a nice person, you might be a psycho killer. Just keep walking (and don’t stand in the middle of the sidewalk to look at the buildings)
Also, always use a straw if you drink from a can. Trust me on this.

WOW, thanks for the advice. Someone else already told me to stop greeting everyone on the street.

Have you fought with a subway turnstile yet? Those things never want to let me through.
Seriously, it’s a great city and you’ll love it. Check out the Literary Walk in Central Park when you get the chance.
